Try disconnecting the battery for a minute or two and see if that helps.

So I did some playing .
Played with settings adjusted speaker settings to all individual settings , surround fader etc etc etc . All ok . Sat in car engine running no volume issues . Disconnected battery for a couple of minutes and read manual . Yes it has the auto speed volume compensation but doesnt say if you can disable it ?
Reconnected battery restarted car and did window dip reset . Stereo all ok . Reverse car out of the shop and sure enough Im crawling in reverse and the volume is all over the place again , rear speakers up down side to side etc .
Electronics really P$@s me off .
Suggestions ?

as i recall, it is under each mode. need to get into the menu controls. You have to do it for each mode, (ipod, CD, Radio, Sirius, etc)

There is no "off" setting for AVC just LO/MED/HIGH. you can still see if low to high makes a difference though. Are you sure your new switch box was good? A faulty new part can happen. Although it's the front speakers that are affected I believe. So if your having all speakers faulting the I'd be looking at wiring and or connections. You do store your car during the season possible vermin squaters?

Ok so I figured out how to get into the audio menus etc . Like JdoubleU says you cant turn off the speed compensation setting . It was set at medium . I tried low and that didnt work . So I did a factory default setting to reset everything. Reprogrammed everything the way I wanted it and set the speed compensation at high . Went for a quick spin and it seems all ok .
Time will tell tomorrow I have a three hour drive to La Circuit Mont Tremblant to the Jim Russell Race school for my single seater track day .
I get to drive an real single seater race car .
