Silly question but can you stall on the sport shift? I was driving and I believe I downshifted from 2nd to 1st then tried to accelerate and then all of the sudden the engine just died??

is this something I need to be worried about?

i’ve experienced the same thing, even in drive where I was approaching a red light expecting it to turn green, had to apply the brakes, light turned green, pressed on the accelerator and the car shuttered a bit and died.

 

Search "Vantage stall" on this forum. Unfortunately common and not much in the way of resolution.

 

I will search it, thanks for the tip! Good thing I was by myself, it was a little embarrassing to say the least...

 

The stall was common on my V8 Vantages - have not experienced it on the V12 Vantages.
