Update. The window drop issue (window doesn't always drop to let me open the door after unlocking it) continues to be intermittent. I can get it working for a while if I go through the window reset procedure, but after a few drives it stops working again. Is this a symptom of a bad battery perhaps?

It could be a bad battery or worst a door module on its way out.... Does it happen to both doors or only one

It's on both doors. The thing is that the doors unlock every time as expected - the only issue is with the windows not dropping, which essentially ends up preventing the doors from being opened.

it is the same module that control the door lock that also control the window drop. You can try to pull the fuses from the passenger floor board (Can't remember which one) and reset the entire module and then try to window drop procedure and see if it takes

Thanks - I didn't know that but it does make sense. The fuse pull/reset is the next option. I hear that new (more reliable) door module controllers are not compatible with the 4.3 era ones, so both would need to be replaced if it comes to that.

Yeah not just 4.3 as I have a 2009 4.7 and still have the older door modules... and yes you are correct you have to replace both of them and go to the dealer to get them programmed so total around $1000 or so for modules and labour

I had same issue on my 2009 V8V... pulled fuses and did the reset... fixed it, no problems last few months

Thanks for that confirmation. I can look up which fuses, but is the process simply to pull those fuses with the car off, then turn on and run the reset process for the windows?

Beautiful car, I really like the red. A lot. Please tell me you decided against blacking out the chrome. Chrome looks amazing on the red. On all the Vantages, actually.
Then again, I'm 46y.o. so no longer in Ricky Racer mode. LOL
Now get off my lawn.

Thanks. I think I'll leave the chrome as is, but maybe get the wheels to a darker shade. This may seem strange, but I do like the way that the red tail lights blend into the body on this color.

Tail lights: Makes sense. It's kinda like when people use clear because it kinda blends in. I like contrast so won't be swapping. My wheels are dark grey, which helps hide brake dust LOL.
I'm not a fan of black wheels (I think I'm just bored of them), so the grey is a nice compromise IMO.
Again, congrats! I love, love, love these cars.

Mine is Meteorite, yes. It's the exact spec I wanted (I got beyond lucky to find it)... though I recently saw one in Tungsten... and I think I may like it even more LOL
