Took the Vantage for its first real run after the winter to blow out the cobwebs.
I'm getting a P0497 Evap Emission system low purge flow .
Any suggestions as to what may be the issue ?
I checked the gas cap and yes its tight and ratcheting .

Could be sticky purge flow valve, try to clear the code & drive more. It may clear itself.
I agree - I have had this happen several times. It is the most irritating thing, but I suppose it was the tech the the time (I don't remember ever driving another product that duplicates it).
My experience has been
1) Let the car sit for a long period of time, start it up and and it throws the code. Fill with fuel, drive normally over a period of a couple of days and it corrects itself (fixed itself this morning)
2) Take it to the track and drive it hard, start it the next day and it flips the code. Fill with fuel, drive normally over a period of a couple of days and it corrects itself.
Some of the worst engineering ever associated with Ford.
I needed perking up today after saying goodbye this morning to my loved and restored by me 64 Healey .
So I took the Aston for a blast and no codes to report .

Wow that is just terrible. I over rev -ed the sigma engine in my SRF racecar on Tuesday. Red line is 6700 and I missed the shift from 5th to 4th finding 2nd instead. It hit 11,500 and had to be pulled and sent for repair. Yesterday I was suicidal. Looking at this and knowing it got away makes my misery seem rather trivial.
I let it go along with an identical car in British racing green 67 so I could be debt free and free up the money to restore my 62 Healey project car .
I simply couldnt maintain clean , licence and find the time to drive five cars so I kept the Aston , her Z4 and the 62 Healey project . Im not giving up on Healeys they are just beautiful, I will just have to wait another few years to drive one again .
The 64 is headed back to the UK the 67 went to Victoria BC

Since we have started a Healey "lost love" thread, I'll add mine... Of course this is a Classic Roadster Sebring that I modified by putting a slabside Saxon body over the stroked ford small bloc/T5/8" rear with inset wheels. It was a death trap and after 20 years I sold it for my DB9 project car. Very hard to find cars that look as good as a Healey. Love the two tone paint jobs - took me 2X the time to do the paint job as it should have (lots of taping), but it was worth it once I was done.
Ok so back to the real subject . Went out for a Sunday run and the code is back , now I have no idea if this is related but I have also noticed the drivers window has quit completely .
maybe these devices share the same electrical circuit ?
The drivers window has had memory loss issues where it didnt dip on door opening but that was always fixable with the reset procedure .
Where are the fuses for the windows and any other suggestions?
