new vantage winter prep

Got my vantage couple month ago, its getting cold in toronto and snow is coming soon. Hows vantage in the snow? any tip? ordered a set of michelin pa4 snow tire running 255 and 285, any one had this combination can tell me if it performs well in snow?
Also, the car didnt come with any winter mats in the car, been using weathertech for years for my other car, they dont have for vantage, any other place i can get winter mats that fits vantage?

Yes, the weather tech company possibly has the generic weather mats for the vantage, not the laser custom cut mats. Im looking into buying all season weather mats from miller motor cars specifically for the legacy vantages. They are a Aston dealer out of CT.

Lloyds Mats offers custom "all weather" floor mats for the Vantage.
I have a regular carpet set and they fit reasonably well for the price-driver side is perfect; passenger side needs a little push in the right place...

I'd suggest paint protection film for the front bumper for the rocks and junk that gets kicked up. I can only speak from using a Bentley Continental in snow, but I got my all season mats Miller Motorcars but any dealer should be able to order a set for your car. Also make sure you have a sealant or wax on the windshield for ice, rain and snow build up.

thanks a lot! lucky the car came with front bumper ppf. Already contacted miller motorcars, price for the mat is reasonable but worry there will be duty, im in toronto, was charged 30% plus a $80 brokerage fees from ups when i bought breakpads from a US site last week.

Honestly check eBay a few dealers are on there and your local dealers may be cheaper after import taxes from the US. The side skirt area can also pickup some rocks and junk in general if you like. Some places have PPF for the rear fenders too.

i too live in Toronto. I put the car to storage in early Nov and pull it out in late April. You may want to reconsider the winter driving idea. Salt spray and acting as a snowplow for other vehicles are real downsides of this idea

I would definitely invest in a set of winter tires. Think about ordering them asap as you may research the tire you want only to find out that the size you need is sold out when you go to order it from TireRack or whomever. And load the trunk with bags of cat litter or something else heavy to get some weight over those rear tires to help with grip in the snow.

seconded. I live in the GTA also. My AM rarely sees rain let alone salt and snow. Reconsider. For the rapid depreciation caused by the salt spray, gravel chipping to the paintwork you could buy an awd 8 yo winter beater like a 3 series bmw and still be ahead.
