I am ordering a set of wheels and the question came up of whether the car has the standard base oem calipers or swapped Vantage S calipers. Given that the set of wheels is a decent chunk of time and money to make, I am trying to confirm with absolute certainty that the previous owner of my Vantage didn't swap out the brake calipers for a slightly larger version. I looked at my brakes today briefly but didn't see a part number. Does anyone know how to tell the difference between these two brakes? Thanks in advance

 

Regular caliper on front is roughly 10" and has 2 pots per side making it a 4 piston versus a "S" which has 3 pots per side making it a 6 piston which is about 3" longer. Rear caliper is the same on both.

 

MY must make a difference then. My 13 non S has 6 pot, and two piece rotors.

 

They all changed to the front bigger brakes and the wider tires.
