all lights come on but ignition will not turn over to start. Even tried with jumper cables. The malfunction seems to be blocking the car from starting. Any suggestions? Anyone experience this? Thank u!

Do what you would do to any electronics, pull the power, wait a bit and connect it up again.

nothing. Dealership not sure either. May have to be shipped in. Nearest one is 3hrs away. Under warranty. Just disappointing. May sell to get something more reliable.

if the battery is not supplying sufficient voltage the car won't even try to start. i'd try another battery, especially if it had been deemed dead.

BTW, that second pic's icon looks like an air bag problem. my vantage will throw codes for air bags if my passenger seat is too far forward or too far back.
yeah. Weird. It's fully charged on trickle. The airbag icon is what is throwing it off. It triggered for some reason without the car ever started or moved. It seems to prevent the ignition from even trying to start. Hoping to remove the code with an obd2 reader to see if it will reset and let me start it.

my aston was throwing messages at me about the passenger airbag after i had moved the passenger seat fully forward after replacing my battery. the message didn't prevent the car from being started, but then again the software in my car is over a decade old. things change....

i drove around with that airbag warning for weeks before i accidentally figured out it was the position of the passenger seat that was causing it.

What codes is the car throwing? I had the issue with my DB9 that I had a worn connector under passenger seat, that would trip an air bag code if the seat was too far back. Cleaned connector, and no issues. I would be curious to see what codes are being thrown.

With the battery now fully charged and no tender attached, disconnect the battery terminals and connect them together, this will remove any power left in the system(aka..battery hard reset)...leave like this for 10 minutes. After that time, connect the battery with ground post being last, don't turn on the ignition, just close the doors and arm vehicle(or close the door latch's with a screw driver if you don't trust the vehicle to unlock..but still arm the vehicle). Let the vehicle sit for 1 hour, then unlock and see if the issue is still present to start the vehicle. If issue is still present, it's a dealer visit for a possible module replacement.

Removed battery last night to have it tested today hoping it would be bad. Perfectly good battery. So reinstalled so dealer would have it when picked up by roadside. Went ahead and gave it a go and pushed the start button. Fired up like nothing happened. No messages or codes showed up in display. It's like car reset itself. Just worried now how car even got to this point.
Happy right now though.

Thanks everyone for possible solutions.

I'm not questioning the battery condition at all, even in my last post. The battery hard reset procedure (or removing battery for hours), will reset all the modules in the vehicle and often allows the glitch in the DB11 to get it started again. Car still need to visit the dealer, the issue will reoccur again..
