New guy here. I picked up an ‘07 V8V about 2 months ago. Black on black 6 speed coupe with the “power pack” on it.
Working my way through the “typical” modifications as I never leave anything alone.
Done so far:
BC Forged RZ39 in brushed gray
H&R Springs
Porterfield R4S
MR12VOLT Bluetooth Kit
Aluminum Radio/Nav **** kit
Top Gear UK Headers
200 Cell Cats
X-pipe conversion
Quicksilver SuperSport Plus Exhaust
Oil Catch Can
I think that’s the list so far. I’m going to swap the Quicksilver exhaust for a Velocity AP Valvetronic soon as it’s a bit too loud. I will order a tune from them as well then.
I think next mods will be clear tails, and possibly some V12 side skirts, oh and some window tint! I may do an Aston Installations CarPlay kit at some point as well. I’d like to do the dual lightweight clutch, but I’m in no hurry to spend the time or money on that. Hah!
congrats on the car. i have 07 v8v also. with the top gear headers and cats.you will need the tune to get the best out of the mods
you might even get the cel come on without a tune. I found it way too loud also . Velocity AP did the tune remap and chris the the tune guy
wrote a tune with the exhaust valves on quiet mode permanently. and i also have the cc charger remote exhaust bypass to switch into loud at anytime.
so best of both worlds at a press of a button.
Looks great, you should go with the BC coilovers to lower it just a tad more. I have a lightly used set for sale if you're interested
Ha, appreciate it! That picture is actually before the springs went on, it's about 24mm lower now in rear and 20mm in front, so it sits exactly where I want it (it's right at the edge of dangerously low for the roads around here).

Thanks! Forgot about that, it's the AMR (Aston Martin Racing) lightweight grille. Rich sells them on redpants, and I think dealers can still get at them as well.

Yeah, I get the CEL now because of the EGR delete on the headers. The tune is definitely coming, I'm honestly just waiting to see if there is a Black Friday sale on the exhaust and tune. Being only 4-5 weeks from that, I can wait a little. I know the tune should make a big difference since my car has basically got the full load out regarding exhaust/intake mods.
Good idea on the exhaust; having it remapped to always quiet, or at least pushing up the "where it gets loud" a little more is a great idea, then putting a remote in would really help. I suppose I could also just make a remote switch that is open or closed at my command as well. Innnnnteresting.
i still have the stock exhaust box, even that was too loud for me.that's why i went with perm quiet.
.don't know if it's my imagination but car seems to accelerate faster with it in stealth mode
maybe a little exhaust back pressure giving it a kick.
mr12volt plugs into the CD player (via a fiberoptic cable) and the head unit. logically it sits between them. when hooked up and "paired" with your phone the head unit thinks it's getting the signal from the CD player (track 1). when not "paired" it's transparent and CD player works normally. i plug a phone charging cable into the complimentary USB port on the back of the black box. power for it (the black box) needs to be unswitched. meaning it's always on. i used the power lines into and out of the console cigarette lighter. pretty easy to install. look for the youtube video.
