Does the Gen 2 Vanquish have a quiet cold stay option?
Hi All, I’m on the market for a Vanquish Volante, but am concerned about the loud cold starts due to close proximity of neighbors. Is there a way to close the valves on startup? Is the car relatively quiet with valves closed? Thank you for any help or suggestions.
I cannot speak to your exact question, but I can give you a hint as to how my '19 Vantage acts. If you press and hold the start button for 3 seconds while starting the engine, it supposedly keeps the exhaust valves closed for a "quiet start". Maybe give it a try and see what happens-- KH
I have a 2014 Vanquish Gray Bull color, then moved to a 2016 Vanquish Carbon White. Both have an option to default to "Quiet" start in the car settings menu. You can configure it to start in Normal (Quiet) or Sports (Loud) mode. It's still pretty loud in Quiet Mode. Sports Mode is definitely loud enough to get passerby's attention. My exhaust is stock.
Early mornings, I keep my garage door shut during startup, then open the garage door afterwards. My one year old daughter and neighbors haven't complained yet.

Thanks for everyone's replies. Are you tired of your Vanquish Volante and ready to sell it by chance?
