Bluetooth streaming

Happy Father’s Day all.

I connected my iPhone via Bluetooth to my 2013 V8V. I couldn’t figured out how to stream music with Spotify and YouTube. Are we only able to call but not stream music?

Nope, no bluetooth streaming in 2013 as far as I am aware. Good news is there's an upgraded bluetooth module that enables streaming, but requires coding with an AMDS.

Sure, that's an option too. I only mention the factory upgrade since it's more integrated with the car. The iPod interfaces are cheaper to be sure. For '08 and newer it's just a bluetooth module swap and recoding at the dealer.

The upgraded bluetooth module is available from Aston [http://www2.astonmartin.com/en/accessories/v8-vantage/interior/bluetooth-upgrade. It requires replacing the existing Bluetooth module and flashing the car with a new config file. The module is about $600, dollars from https://store.millermotorcars.com/collections/aston-martin/products/original-aston-martin-bluetooth-upgrade-kit, and the config file is included. I just upgraded my 2014 DB9 and am very happy with it.

Did you end up going to the dealer to get the new config file uploaded into the car?
