Hi All,
I recently purchased a 2013 DB9, The car is stunning in every way apart from the tyres. I have never liked Pzero tyres as they always seem noisy and poor for grip in lower temperatures. What i am asking is it possible to increase the sizes on the stock 20” wheels to get a little more comfort at the same time. Say 245/40/20 and 295/35/20. I know this changes the real speed slightly but most likely not noticeable. Just looking at the best options to increase comfort levels. I previously changed tyres to add more rubber on a maserati GT with no issues and it made a huge difference. Sny advice/info appreciated.
thanks
Derek
There should be ample room to do that. Take it to a good tire shop that will mount and check clearance. I usually just fit check the the front to check lock to lock. Rears always seem ok. Pirelli is OK new but after 2-3 years not good. Plus they like to flat spot more than any other good brands.
I went up one size because I found them on craigslist, previously mounted but unused... They replaced the 13 year old tires that came with the car. They are 245/45R19 front, 275/40R19 rear... According to https://tiresize.com/comparison/ they are pretty close to what you want in a R20...
