BULB FAILURE DIPPED BEAM error message

I like being winked at but not like this . I’m getting the "BULB FAILURE DIPPED BEAM" error message. I know others have suffered from this, but this seems to be slightly different symptoms from what’s usually experienced, so the cause and recommendation may be different. But I’ll let all the smart folks on here illuminate:

It’s been happening intermittently for years, but recently more and more, and now it’s basically permanent. Always on the driver side (LHD). It’s only the main beam, meanwhile that side's eyelash / eyebrow strip works fine (whatever that’s called). I haven't noticed a discernible pattern so far like the weather/temperature etc affecting it. Thoughts?

Sorry to ask a dumb question, but did you replace the dip beam? It's really easy and there are non OEM replacements that are excellent and really cheap compared to OEM.

Easy to check if you switch bulbs from side to side @ no parts cost. And inspect the connection at the balast for corrosion. How it works is the ballast fires the bulb to light, if it doesn't it will attempt to light it again and again. Then it gives up until the next off/on cycle. Ignition switched off. The way the ballast is mounted if you live in an area of humidity it tends to migrate in to the module. Denso ballast can be had for less than $100.
