Windows & Locks non functional after flat battery

I have a V12 Vantage. I allowed the battery to go dead (forgot to plug it into the charger) after a few weeks of nonuse. I jumped it yesterday, jumped it, and was greeted with the "alarm system service required" error message which has since cleared itself and gone away. However, my windows are still not functioning (won't roll up or down) and the lock/unlock no longer works. Does anyone know how I go about repairing this?

Hello All,

I did the fuse trick (i.e., pulled fuse F82 and F83) which resolved the window issue and the locking/unlocking issue. However, now my gauge cluster has gone dark is non responsive. Anyone have any idea how to solve this? Is there a fuse for the gauge cluster that I could pull to reset it (what number)?

Any help would be really appreciated!

if you battery goes dead after 2 weeks of non use, you should replace it, it will solved a lot of issues.

Replacing the battery sounds wise. I'll do that as a precaution. Is there any special procedure I need to follow when changing the battery? Leave it on the trickle charger?

If the battery was already dead before I don't think it will change much but you might have to reset your windows, seats, stereo and so on. On my 2009, I unplug the battery every winter around November for the past 8 yrs and reconnect it in April and every year it is always a little different as some year everything just work and other year I need to reset Windows and seats but funny enough the radio always keeps its stations. It is a little bit of a task to replace the battery in a Coupe but I don't know about a Volante.... Good luck

I believe that Redpants.lol has some DIY Video on his site, for the window reset you hold the window switch down for 5-10 sec you will hear a little click and up for 5-10 sec afterwards the auto drop when you open your door will be all set. The seats is another piece for sure, I don't remember exactly the procedures but if you are stuck someone here can share.

And as always the fuse removal will reset the Door modules if the windows or door lock don't work.
