DB9 Headlight Crack

I got home from a 3 hour spirited Interstate drive to discover this light crack on my 2005 DB9. When I first saw it I thought it would rub off. Is there a spot repair available?

Thanks in advance.

Bob D.

Be careful addressing that, there is a film over the polycarbonate lens that will mar pretty easily. It's like a clear bra but it doesn't play nice with being polished or pulled up.

Yep it's a UV coating I believe. To OP, just let it be. You've enjoyed that 3-hour drive. Car is probably happy too. It's just a battle scar.

Thanks for the tips. I'm thinking water now has a way in the the interior of the fixture. Should I add a protective film over both lights?

So it cracked all the way through?

PPF should be ok. I have them on mine.

Hard to tell V12. I think I'll PPF both of them and be done with it. Thanks.

If it were me (maybe just me), I would mix up a small amount of CLEAR epoxy, use a needle or a pin and place a single drop at the center of the crack. That should seal any ingress to the inside of the HL and might even make some of the crack disappear.

From what I see in the pic, it appears to be just surface, but I could change my mind if I saw it in person.

All the Best with it.

After very close examination it appears to be a scratch on the film. It was a wake up call. PPF is the answer for me. Thanks to all.
