That doesn't surprise me in the slightest. LSD also lists Stabilus air strut parts on their website which are the OEM for the factory parts. I'd almost bet money they're exactly the same minus the blue AM printing directly on the tubes.

Mark Gronsbell is infamous around these parts
When I replaced the struts on the doors and trunk a few years back, I do not recall the prices for OEM being that costly. Unless this has changed, why bother going aftermarket?

I'm with you there, Mark. I replaced my trunk struts with the LSD stainless at a time when it was hard to get them. Recently I did the the door struts with the factory parts and while they were 3-4x the cost of aftermarket, they still weren't that bad. Some owners want to minimize the maintenance cost at all costs and sometimes parts can be hard to find. It's a personal decision.

I'm trying to improve on the OEM...as I've looked into this, the after market ones for my doors I ordered appear to have a higher weigh/lift capacity...

besides who wants to pay bespoke Aston Martin prices for the same parts...AML cars are loaded with the same parts used in Ford, Volvo, etc... at a significant cost savings than AML prices

Are those parts for a first gen Vantage? The numbers come back for a DB9.

Just a quick FYI. According to Redpants the Vantage and DB9 use the same door strut.
