US Spec RS4 Avant?

I was reading a UK Porsche magazine last night and the gentlemen writing the mag were very excited because Audi was releasing the Avant version of the RS4 over there. Any chance we might get one in the US?????

I think there are long thread about this on all major Audi forums when RS4 just out. I remember Audi response as there are not enough demand of high performance Avant in NA. So all RS models will be sedans only. Don't think the market change much and I don't think US spec. RS4 Avant will happen soon

Yes, I'm aware in the beginning they said no Avants... but I was hoping this would change after a couple years =)

I read somewhere that audi is considering even doing away with the S4 avant here in the US. Too little demand. Shame since I love mine

Hrm, I wish I could remember the name of the magazine so you could go look yourself! It was in a section that reviewed different types of cars (sedans, coupes, etc) and rated which was the best all around.

That would be horrible if they did away with the S4 Avant in the US. I can't think of a more powerful, comfortable, better handling wagon to drive around town, take up to the mountains, and bring my dogs to the park =)

Not gonna happen over here. And although all of the Avant customers love their cars, the demand for the cars is still suprisingly little.

Yeah probably won't happen; same reason why there is no M5 wagon (or even 335i, xi wagon). Subaru even canned their 5-speed Legacy GT wagon. No love for practicality here in America.
