i have for sale an almost new PCM2.1 head unit and navigation dvd module. i retrofitted these items into my 08 7gt3. unfortunately i found out later that these items were not compatible with my current ASK amp (analog). the ASK amp is the factory amp used if you have the Sound Package Plus on the 7gt3. the Bose option was not an option for the 7gt3. this PCM 2.1 head unit was programmed from the factory to only work with the BOSE amp.

PCM 2.1 NAV SCREEN - part# 997.642.143.10 (programmed as BOSE output, uses MOST cables to go with BOSE amp)

Navigation Module DVD Player - part# 997.642.157.01 (horizontal mount style, includes 5/2007 dvd disc)

this setup will work perfectly for all 997's which has the BOSE amp. please check out this link from Suncoast for pricing comparison. also if your in the bay area, i can help you install this item in your car. you'll also need to purchase the GPS antenna and cable, MOST cable, DVD drive bracket and associated clips.

im asking $2500 OBO for local pick-up. but willing to ship at buyers expense.

Good luck with the sale Fernando...for those who are interested, I saw the parts today and they are in perfect condition.

 

The price sounds high to me when considering that for $3,500 you can get a fully upgraded aftermarket unit that includes:

-full upgraded speakers and amp(far better than bose)
-8 inch full color touch screen with electronic tilt/angle control
-navigation
-usb aux
-iPod integration via touchscreen
-Bluetooth dialing on touchscreen
-Backup camara, with display on touchscreen
-DVD movie player (displays on touchscreen)
-custom painted console (any color match you want- I'll go for matte black to match the center console)

Then again, I understand that some desire to keep things OEM, in which case the sale here is reasonable. I believe nav alone would be $2k.

i agree with you. for a bit more $$$ you can get a much better aftermarket setup. but for the guys who want the oem look and feel, this is a decent alternative.

also, all the dealerships i called want at least $2600 for a NEW PCM head unit. just wondering, where can you get a new one for $2000?
