warning, ebay intake hose problem..

i have this intake hose. the fan shroud on underside of trunk lid is wearing a hole in it.. the fitment was not great initially. twisting it to avoid contact with the fan makes it even worse.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...Q5fAccessories

people have better luck with any other brands? i want to replace it..

That's too bad, man. I have the Schnell version (also found on ebay or through board sponsor vivid) on my 997 and don't have any rubbing issues.

This person on ebay is selling a product that looks like ours but a cheap and poor quality copy. This user is being investigated and notified due to using our name and linking us to his product which should stop shortly. You are not the first person who has experienced this, this despicable ebay user has been selling poor quality products for a while now and listing our name as a reference. We have nothing to do with this buyer and if you decide to buy a new cold air kit or anything, let me know and I will help you out.
Thanks,

Vertex auto

They have the schnell intake for 99.00, same as the fabspeed, I ran one for a bit with no trouble... then went to Evo motorsports CAI.... now stock and deciding what to do with car, my advice do the evo CAI or keep it stock.

Thanks,

Awesome, I wouldn't mind upgrading to something like this. I've currently got the Fabspeed silicone intake pipe on my '03 C4S, no problems and fit is great. I've had it off a few times when oiling the air filter and on/off of the part is totally hassle free.

Alex, how about giving some of us loyal customers a break on the new carbon fiber air intake?

Kirk
