The battery is easy to replace and is a CR2025 or some such, which is available at all camera stores, WalMart, etc. The kep FOB opens at the key holder short side (the bottom when looking at the buttons).

Mine opened easily(with a knife scratching and scaring up the plastic) and closed with even more effort( mashing, pressing and forcing that little SOB to reseal). I think it was a 30 minute job.

After all my toil and sweat hitting the start button will occasionally cause the dash to read "key not found".??????? I have had to hit the lock or unlock to get the car to read the fob. Darn Bentley gremlins

I might have exaggerated the difficulty of the job.

No but the greatest damage occurred while learning on the valet key. I did a much better job on the primary key.

Buy a new key? hehe

I nearly broke my key the first time as I didnt know how the cover came off and read the same site enjoythemusic posted. You dont have to remove side part but just use nose tip pilers at the rear key ring hole and twist cover off.

I still get key not found sometimes but battery is fresh...strange!

I have a 2008 gtc and to replace the key fob battery I did as described above, nearly broke the key the other way. For what is worth, one year later.

I get this also. I mean I just started the car and it is running so how after seconds or a minute or two it says "key not found"?? This car has a shorter memory than I do.

Same here with the rare yet occasional 'Key Not Found' warning. The 06 GT never did that, yet the 07 GTC does. Hmmm....
