make sure the motor is COLD!!! mine was warm and the intake manifold is boiling!!

and yes the covers are a nightmare to put back on, they have a small cover that protects the wiring of both the bulbs, have have to pop it off,

you need small hands and small wrist. i almost gave up and was not even going to put the cover back on the passenger side.

these are the bulbs i used,

they only work 1 way so you have to plug in, test make sure they work, then put them back in the headlamp.

here is the passenger side with the led

the headlights have a slight tint on them
Late to this posting, but what happened with the driver's side, it was an easy removal?

I bought the bulbs then saw how limited the space is and gave up on the idea.

What a poor design, it seems like any work whatsoever needs to be done at the dealer, I mean, its not even in the manual, something i have never seen before, and i have owned most premium brands, they all think its fair the owner can change a $2 bulb himself.

Good customer service Bentley

I'm gonna give the front side light bulbs a go and change them for some LED type, the ones in their right now really don't look good and mis-matched with the xenon beam.

Anyone know the spec of the side light bulbs?

Carl buddy, don't give up!

I have one and the job is still incredibly difficult to do. Yes it says take the pipe off but a)that's it and b)anyone with normal hands can't do it unless they are a trained tech or have done it before, and even then it still sounds a pain in the a**.

Update:

Since the Passenger side bulb was already fused (no errors on dash), I decided to just have the drivers side removed. When the car was in for an oil change I had the tech see if he could reach it (I tried but couldn't get my big hands to fit) He gripped the bulb in about 10 seconds, but couldn't remove it, he wiggled it around and it fused! Which worked for me

I am sure it has to do with my ignorance, but I am not sure what you mean by "fused"?

It is funny. My passenger side also went out as well.

By the way, does this car have any fog light? I pressed the fog light button but it didn't do anything.

There is not front fog lights on the Continental GT.

The fog light button will activate the rear fog light.

We at the Bentley Forum are very civilized, thank God, it has to be the British influence, no doubt. At the Porsche Forum, they would have pointed out page 4-8 of the 2008 owner's manual together with an acronym or admonition.

Haha. I've seen some topics are Rennlist which are not pretty.

This forum and Lamborghini-talk are extremely friendly.
