Terminal 30 low volrage ????

Hi Guys/Dolls,

Thought I would do a health check on my GT Speed using Vas and found numerous faults with the common reference of Terminal 30 low voltage.
I checked each module for eg Dash/display, TPMS, etc all the modules that had the error then cleared them. They all remain clear.
What's the main cause of a terminal 30 low voltage error.

BTW the car was parked for a while before I attached the maintenance charger.....could the battery voltage have gotten a little low standing.??

Thanks,
Frank

I believe "terminal 30" refers to unswitched power that is supplied even when the ignition is off. Therefore, a low battery condition could generate the error code.

as PMS said, low battery voltage will trigger this code, putting a maintainer on the car is a good idea.

Thanks guys, its what I thought. My Vas 5054 pointed it to that but I recon it was only off the Maintenance charger for no more than 10 days before I put it back on it. Mind you its very cold here and I don't know how old the Batteries are. Perhaps being a late 2008 car they are original.

Thanks again to you both
Frank

I don't drive my car in the winter so I leave it on a CTEK trickle charger. With temperatures around -25C, my new OEM battery won't last more than about 8 days without being on a charger. There seem to be a lot of unswitched electronics running all the time (e.g. alarm systems).
