Lifetime sirius sat subscription that comes with the Bentley cancelled?!?!
Thanks to all of you for the information. I called them today and it took 1 hr and 40 minutes but they reinstated my service on my 2007. It seems in my case, the radio had never been registered and that caused some consternation with them. They did find that any Bentley older than a 2012 model did come with a lifetime subscription and after all of time on the phone they made it work.
It's a nice feature but too bad either my antenna is bad and loses signal all the time, and it doesn't pick up many channels, possibly pre-XM merger? Honestly in the end it's kind of useless
I am just getting around to reinstating my Siruis subscription. I have called the phone number above and had no luck in getting the subscription reinstated. Has anyone else been successful lately? They keep saying the vehicle doesn't have lifetime Sirius.
Now, on the other hand, some Sirius reps have claimed that the second generation Bentley is not lifetime, I have no idea if that is correct, so, if those of you with 2nd or 3rd Gen Bentley's could let us know and help others to understand if your Sirius is lifetime, that would be helpful and appreciated.
Another issue the reps will claim, and it has some merit, is that the original owner of the vehicle had the service turned off, why, I don't know, again the rep tried to say that the original owner of my Audi wanted to use it on another vehicle, I mean I had purchased the vehicle 5 years prior and had service, and now he has it turned off, but again after making the argument that the service is for the vehicle as lifetime, and not the original owner's name, they agreed, But, one issue some may be having and Sirius reps were not to forthcoming with this issue and I can see why any original owner may want his/her name and all associated information removed as well, is, just that, they no longer own the vehicle and want no affiliation with it, so Sirius just shuts it off and then tries to make you pay for service to restore it, the issue was that because the service was shut off and account information removed, Sirius had nobody's name for an account, show I said fine, you can put the free lifetime services in my name, so they made and account for my vehicles and restored service, with no credit card information required as the service is free.. although they tried requesting my CC info.

Sirius
I''m the second owner of a second generation (2013). Somehow Sirius knew the car had been sold to me, and I had service for a few months
I think a three month trial period.
During that time I was bombarded by direct mail and email to "subscribe." The monthly price kept dropping, and further offers appear every
few months.
So, I presume thru title/registration they knew the car was sold to me. The marketing from them is unrelenting. Other than the news stations, I have no
interest in their music channels, so I can survive without Sirius FM.

As mentioned in another thread, my '09 with the lifetime Sirius subscription was destroyed in the flood from Hurricane Ian. I replaced it with a '16 that did not come with a lifetime. I know that the lifetime is supposed to stay with the car but I played dumb (comes naturally for me) and called and asked for the lifetime to be transferred since the old car was totalled from the flood. The young lady in the Philippines played equally dumb and said she would cancel the radio and give me a refund for the unused time (huh?). It took a couple more tries but she finally understood that I didn't want to cancel anything but just transfer the lifetime service to the new car. She told me there'd be a one-time $35+ tax 'transfer fee,' to which I readily agreed, and then she went ahead and processed it. I pulled the car out of the garage, selected XM on the radio and within 10 minutes after clicking the 'activate' button in the link from the text she sent, the radio displayed an "Updating Channels" message and now it's working. I'll update this if there turns out to be more to the story.
One quick update: I got an email about an hour later confirming the transfer and the one-time charge. It shows that the service was transferred from the old radio ID to the new radio ID but still identifies the car as "09 Bentley" which probably works to my benefit if a question ever arises.

I have tried Sirius in both my 2012 and 2014 and cannot listen to it. To me it sounds like music being played inside an old metal trash can. I hear wow and flutter (displaying my age?) and a high end buzzing I cannot stand. Boss cannot hear it and thinks I am crazy, but I can tell the difference between an FM broadcast, my iPhone, and Sirius. Since I am nearing 5K songs on my phone that is what I am sticking with. When I drove my '12 out to Tucson to trade it in on my '14 I didn't have a single tune repeat the entire trip.
I concur with EJag66. the audio quality is dreadful for music on Sirius. Also, their "curator" at least for jazz is also dreadful.
I experienced the same hard sell from Sirius after the purchase of my used 2013 GTC. They finally stopped. I'm not sure I
would even use it for free.

Interestingly, if I access Sirius through my phone and connect it to the radio via BT, it sounds better than receiving direct from the bird. A few adjustments from the 'Tone' button made it better. 99% of my driving is short trips around town and my listening is just for background. These old ears are not particularly discerning anymore. If I had to pay for Sirius I wouldn't subscribe but at $35 for 'life' why not? I also have it in my Highlander which is what we typically drive for longer trips. I used to pay $60/year for that but when AMEX Platinum offered to reimburse up to $20/mo for Sirius charges I switched it to a monthly plan that's less than $20 so that's free now.
I have a few AMEX offers that have been active for well over a year now but I do check my bill monthly to watch for that. In addition to Sirius, AMEX offers a free Walmart+ account which also gives me a free Paramount+ subscription and a free annual reimbursement of a CLEAR membership which is a timesaver at a lot of airports.
