Boot adjustment

Hey guys

first sorry for my english i Hope i can tell what is the Problem on my car.

My car as automatic Boot closing. But when it closes the right Side of the Boot stays Open approx 5cm. Legt Side closes perfectly. When i Push with my hands on Boot on the right Side it closes too. But why it stays Open. Is there an adjustment? Is this Problem known?

The right side has the motor that opens & closes the boot, these hinges get worn out and has play in the hinge, check the hinge when it closes or when the boot is open lift it slightly see if there is play in that hinge. Or it may just need adjustment which can be done from inside the boot on the right side above the battery where the motor is located ...

Ok so there is Play on the hinge but don’t Seem to me that this is the Problem. The left Side also has Play ist closes Perfect. I will Look from inside the Boot of there is something to adjust. What i have to search for? A Screw on the Motor ? Or what is it exactly

I Checked with a mate who is coachbuilder and he says that he is sure the complete right hinge Must deplaced. There is too Many Play in the mechanism. So is this known Problem by These Cars ?

The right hinge takes most of the load of the boot and its a heavy boot, yes the right hinge do fail after time. it needs replacing ...

I had exactly the same problem. I ended up taking mine to my indie Bentley guy here in socal and he fixed the problem for $65.00 . I thought it costs more than $65.00 to open the door of the car!

I'm a little confused are you talking about the door or the boot, but either way $65 is a steel for work carried out on a Bentley ...
