Hi. Have been reading all the great info on here for some time.
I have an 07 GT with the newer/rerouted plastic pipes. Would appreciate a little steer/guidance from the learned members of this forum.
I have a vacuum leak but I’m told very minor.
Emissions light is now on.
Have replaced exhaust gas gas temp sensor recently which cured the light but it came back on after the repair and my Indy says he’s found a small leak.
Car runs beautifully and the idle is steady.
I’m just wondering if this is something I should sort at next service time - 3 or so months away - or get done now. Indy has checked over everything and said run for a bit as all else is well.
I don’t do much mileage and won’t cover more than 500 miles before next service.
Thanks for any assistance !

Leave it for now .
Of you haven’t all ready get a small code reader of Amazon £10 or something to ...
1- read the code of the CEL
2- clear it . ......see how quick it recurs ??
once you have a code post it on here and recurrence time ( same code ) .
It’s not just the dreaded plastic pipes over the gearbox and steering rack there’s loads of minor ( relatively) valves and stuff easily accessible in comparison that sit at the top back of the engine under the Bentley logo plastic cover .
hopefully a code will help determine what’s leaking ....if anything?

I’ll get a scanner and post the code as suggested.
Unfortunately this was a final check my Indy did before I picked it up after EGT sensor repair and as it caught us both by surprise he didn’t get time to do diagnostics.
Its just running so well he advised to run for a little while....
I’ve noticed that these cars don’t like not to be driven and will complain accordingly. Had a typical P0174 fault coming up for a bout then disappeared. No obvious issue, running smooth. If it’s running smooth I wouldn’t worry too much.
Hello MT,
I am not sure on that $20-$40 scanner properly reading your Bentley, the norm for our vehicles is either the Ross-Tech VCDS, or a VAS 5054 with ODIS.
Did that scanner show you both engine modules #1 and #2 to choose from for scanning ?
Being you had the light on, the proper scanner would show you the fault, yet you picture shows no fault, does that scanner do a full scan, or just one module at a time that you have to pick which module you are scanning ?
So... Amazon order of OBD2 reader arrived yesterday ( thanks for the advice ). Plugged it in today and this was the result :
Did the reset anyway. Light went out.
Went for a drive..... all well.
Parked up and ran some errands. An hour later returned and headed home. Light back on!
Car is driving perfectly and pulls like a train. Idle very solid.
Guess I keep resetting for the moment?

Hi Johnny- thanks for the links. I’ll have to get a better diagnostics. I’m a bit new to this but have managed to further interrogate the simple scanner I purchased and it has come back with the message I was expecting- which is still the same as the code I got before the EGTS was replaced....
I reset it and all fine after an initial drive. Fired it up a little later and the light was back on...
GT is running great so guess I will just earmark the vacuum leak repair at next service time in 3 months.....

sorry to hijack, but, Johnny any recommendations on a decent hand held one? I like to have one in the car and although I’m happy to travel with a Mac, couldn’t stomac to travel with a windows laptop 🤣

No laptop needed, the Hex-Net can also be used on a smartphone.
