Looters took over the downtown Lamborghini/Bentley dealership in Chicago, about a mile from me.

Only car in the showroom was this poor Bentley.

That dealership has (had?) amazing, drool-worthy cars. It's only a block off of Michigan Avenue. I presume they got the cool cars out of there, leaving this poor stranded Bentley.

I'm safe, I headed South when the pandemic hit. Chicago has about 1/150 infected, still pretty scary. Where I am is safe, thanks for the concern.

We do own retail in Chicago, I'm waiting for the phone to ring from the alarm company any minute. It's not in harm's way, but there is looting at a liquor store about six blocks away, which is too close.

Chicago has gone to complete martial law, it's like something out of a movie. National Guard downtown, all but one of the drawbridges up, travel into the city stopped, all public transportation stopped, a curfew at 9:00 pm.

My Bentley is still in Chicago, but it should be safe, my high-rise is high-security..but I valet park it and we had two cars stolen from the valet line last week. My wife and I are re-considering this whole Chicago thing, there sure is a lot of violence just waiting to pop off as soon as the police are otherwise occupied.

 

Ugh. Bad time to be in a city. I fled up north to my place in WI....

 

So glad not to be living there.

 

We are in the far western suburbs. We are gone in 1 year from Illinois. Moving Down south.

 

This is crazy.....
British I can ride past every so often and send you pictures of your shop if you want.

 

So sad to see. Joe Perillo has such a nice show room and some beautiful cars.

 

My brother says the same thing. Lives in Elmhurst and can't wait to get out of GD Illinois and head South.
