Help car will not start

Hi guys looking for some help,
Car is Flying Spur 2008, always kept on charge when not used, batteries are top quality Varta silverline 1yr old.
I last drove the car 6 days ago, no problem.
Today I went to the car, opened the doors with the key fob, the interior lights came on as usual, tried to start as usual just pressing the starter button, the ignition nor anything came on. So I tried using the key, both normally and then the emergency way turning anticlockwise first, but still nothing.
Any ideas of were to start looking for a solution, much appreciated.
Nigel.

I would replace the FOB battery and see if that fixes the issue. Even when using the key itself, if the battery is dead the car might not recognize that the key is in the vehicle.

I was speaking to someone yesterday that had exact same issue even though his batteries were 8 months old the starter battery went bad. All I can suggest is that you check voltage on the right side starter battery and see what it reads then maybe charge it and go from there

Thanks for that Yogurtshotgun, I'll give it a go and check it out.
Funny thing is the keyless entry works and also locks when I touch the little rectangle on the door handle but the car will not open or close with the remote.

Just checked the batteries, both over 12.5v.
When I get into the car, the welcome comes on the screen, but no interior or other lights.
I tried the side and headlights, they work, the boot opens when I press the B which is lucky. Its just the ignition will not come on now matter what I try.
I used the car last Thursday all was normal and worked fine.

The green light comes on on the key fob, so I suppose its OK. I tried with my spare key also the same result.

Does the dash light up when you insert key and turn as if you were going to start? Have you had any rain lately??

No, the dash does not light up, only the welcome screen on the infotainment.
However I did hand wash the car before parking up last week. I started and moved the car after washing about 20mts. I have bot touched the car since.
until yesterday.

Pull up the cover underneath the windscreen wipers and check there's no water in the scuttle then check with a watering can pour a small amount of water in the scuttle and check your drains aren't blocked. If they are it's possible you could have damaged ecu or kessy unit (I can't remember off hand where the kessy unit is located) but if its in the scuttle and your drains are blocked that could be your problem. First thing though check the scuttle and drains

Thanks for that, will give it a look tomorrow and report back.
I think the Kessy unit is under the drivers footwell, but perhaps there is something else in there to have caused this problem.
Again much appreciated.
Nigel.

FYI, even with 12.5 volts showing does not mean a car will start. You can have 12.6 volts and still not enough cranking amps to start the engine. The proper way to test a cars battery is to fully charge it, then disconnect the battery cable ground and Load Test it.

You can also try disconnecting the ground and reconnect it... then try starting again.

Thanks for the rely Doug L, but the problem is not starting, it's that the ignition will not come on, at all.
Have bitten the bullet, called the break down truck to take it to the main dealer in Marbella, C de Salamanca.
It got better last night the car alarm started going off, the only way I could stop it was to disconnect the left hand side battery.
Then I made a big mistake.......I closed the boot by hand! So they will now need the emergency method to open again!!
Oh well more to add to what I am pretty sure will be a scary bill anyway.
Oh Joy!!
