Getting Check Engine Light (CEL) whenever the weather outside is 55F or higher. Car seems to be running just fine. I clear the DTCs via VCDS and the light doesn’t come on as long as it’s nice and cold outside. In warmer weather, the Light does not come on the first time I start the car after clearing DTCs in standby mode. However, when I turn it off and back on again, it comes on right away.
I understand it can be multiple things but just trying to see if anyone knows which component could be effected by the outside ambient temp the most?
As for an exact code from VCDS, whenever there’s a light, I get Engine cannot be Reached in both standby and running mode of the car with the key in ignition. I also ensured that the Force Engine option was not checked as per RossTech.
You state you are scanning the "car with the key in ignition". Based on your exact wording it sounds like you haven't turned the key. Just having it in the ignition is not enough. Turn the key but don't start the car, then scan.
Engine #2 shows STATUS: OK but is also listed as Cannot be Reached. See attached.

To clarify, I've tried with key in ignition in both standby (key in ignition with single turn until all electronics turn on)and running mode (key in ignition with full turn to run the car).
I originally thought the check engine light might’ve been a side effect of this: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/bentley/445347-fs2014-epc-light-issue.html#post4879473. So I patched the vent hose and was back up and running. However, the Check Engine light is still there and whenever I’d reset it on cold day, it remained good but as soon as nice hot day came around, it would come up on the 2nd start of the day right at startup. I called the dealership to schedule me in for error code and they were swamped at the time and I was most likely going to be looked at this week. The cars been running just fine and the dealership tech said that as long as you’re not exhibiting shaking of the car while idle, you can drive it.
