Turbo under boost obd

Hi all.
Just got back from 2 week 3500km drive of Germany . No problem at all to mention. I did think on an odd occasion she didnt pull quite as well but wasnt sure, perhaps a very minor misfire pop from the exhaust twice but was over in a milisecond. Took her up to 160 mph on the autobahn. Cruised at 130 140 mph plenty of times. Plenty of red line 2,3,4th gear pulls. No CEL,
Any how, got back put VAS 5054 on and found:
00665 P0299 002 Turbo/ supercharger under boost and 06435 P1923 008
I will attempt to attach screen shots.

Hello,

Just to confirm, the low boost issue is on bank 2 as per the scan, British passenger side of car. Since priority level is 0 we can assume this issue is Intermittent? That can make diagnosis difficult.

Start with and select measuring blocks go to engine 11 (bank 2) @ address 114 to see live data. This test will require driving the car while data logging to evaluate if bank 2 turbo boost is consistent. If address 114 doesn't show boost just try 115 and so on but we're close. To learn how to data log with measuring blocks look on line to Ross Tech with the the previous question. Your system is related to RT.

Thanks Applebaum,
Yes it does seem intermittent. I use VAS5054a so is that the same 114 address?
I will try to get out in the car next week and do some logging as you suggest
I have bought 2 cheep vac/boost gauges to plum in and run through a grommet in the bulkhead. Hopefully i can see live boost that way too.

Your welcome.

Address 114 or 115 should work.

The turbo gauge(s) is better, less fiddly and observable in real time. I installed one on my B and enjoy having it.

Here is a quick pictorial. Not sure [yet] how to isolate each turbo for gauge monitors. Ideas welcomed.

No haven't been able to find a Bi turbo gauge.
