Florida Owners Who Are You Insuring Your Bentley With

Like the title says, for those of you that have your Bentley's registered and insured in the state of Florida, what agent and / or company are you using for insurance?

As a veteran I use USAA. NOT CHEAP, I recently dropped everything but liability l as that alone was costing close to $15 a day to sit in the garage. I only use to take my wife to lunch after times a week. Under a 1000 miles a year.

Excuse me for commenting this, but HOLY CRAP!! Is that common in FL or US in general? I mean, I'm currently paying an equivalent of $1600 a year for fully comprehensive, including liability, collision, theft, vandalism, fire and so on, more or less unlimited annual mileage (well, they asked and I gave an estimate of 20-30k miles) and $800 deductible. That's something like $4.38 a day.

On our FL policy we have a Ford Expedition and the 2020 Bentley. We just got the renewal and the cost for the Bentley is up to $2575 annually.

I assume you have both Bentleys on the same policy, do you have your homeowners with AIG as well?

I was able to insure the Bentley with my collector car company NCM / American Modern. I have a NY policy with them with 2 cars on it, but can't be added to that policy. Has to be a separate FL policy, 250K 500K 100K. $2500 collision deductible, $1000 comp deductible, $2057 Annually. Saves me about $500 annually over the policy it is currently on and I get agreed value, which I don't have now.

Now I just need to get a somewhat reasonable price for the Expedition as a stand alone vehicle.

Yes, '16 GT, '20 Bentayga and a '14 Toyota Highlander on one policy w/AIG. Homeowner's and Umbrella w/AIG as well. When Ian hit and flooded the garage they paid out immediately.

That is simply an amazing price. I see that you are in Lakewood Ranch, which is a high elevation and has a reputation as a super safe community - hurricane wise. May I ask how many other vehicles you have insured with Haggerty in FL?

Hi,

This is my only vehicle insured with Hagerty. My Wife has an F-Pace and is separately insured by another company. She is working down a small accident finally expiring this year.

With my car, and BC it is a seldom driven vehicle and one my wife is not comfortable driving, my policy with Hagerty only insures me as the driver for a limited mileage for the year. 3000 miles. This car is a garage queen, frankly.

I am a cyclist and do about 3300 mile a year on my bike. So far, since august I have just under 1000 miles on the bike and less than 600 miles on the DB11. And...I have no insurance on the bike...LOL...

Hi There
Re my previous post at $1800 - that is what I aid in June
Just had the quote in for my Dec payment and it has gone up by $300 to $2100 - this is with
Progressive
(2010 Bentley Continental & 2020 Merc GLE 350)
Both Cars have a $2000 excess
My Agent told me that Progressive premiums will go down in 2024 - I will believe it when I see it !!

Does anyone know of Bentley "Meet Ups" in Florida - my car is nothing special but a meet up might be fun to get together

Hope this helps
Best Regards
Camaz

Thanks for the response. I think I'll look into Hagerty in the future. As of now I have 2 "sunny day" cars (Viper and Z06 Corvette) garaged at our NY house with NCM / American Modern Insurance at a cost of $1475 / Year for both ($120K / $60K agreed value). I was paying $2,200 with Grundy! I am moving the Bentley to NCM on a separate new Florida policy next week at an annual cost of $2035 with $190K agreed value.

Good information. I just got a quote from Progressive for my daily driver down here (Ford Expedition) and they were a little higher than Allstate who I am using now, but would greatly like to get rid of.

In response to you question about get togethers, the national Rolls Royce owners club - which also caters heavily to Bentley owners has a very active Florida Chapter. We have been members since we purchased the car in 2021. I will say that they do more lunches and dinners than "car events" which is what I'm used to, so we may not renew this year.
