Side Mirror Removal

Hi does anyone have any advice on how to remove the drivers side door mirror on a Continental GT, I’ve got the door panel off after hours of work but it looks like I’ll have to remove the window glass to get at the bolts I can’t believe how difficult it has been so far.
any help would be appreciated

I have removed the mirrors from both sides of my '07 GT to replace the lights underneath.

I cannot find the guide I used for this, but you start with turning your mirror (electronically) either all the way to the outside or all the way to the inside. Then you use a plastic wedge tool (like a small plastic crow bar) to gently pry the mirror out towards you, towards the rear of the car. Use a towel or something similar against the paint of the housing. It will be a little resistance, but it will soon pop out. After the mirror has popped out I believe there are 3 screws to remove the light on the bottom.

I will try to find the guide I used.

In this thread he says to turn the mirrors IN and UP before attempting to pull the mirror loose.

Ahh.. My bad if I misinterpreted your question.. I tried to answer how to remove the mirror glass from the housing, I now realise you were probably asking how to remove the actual whole mirror casing from the door. I don't know anything about that, but please do send a reply if you figure it out.
