I have a 2013 GT Speed which does not have the multi CD changer in the glovebox. I want to be able to use the space for something else. I know it is a foam block that occupies the space where the CD changer would go but how do you get that foam block out? I assume that there must be clips of some sort on the sides? Would it need the same tool needed the extract the CD changer if it was there? It does not seem obvious and I remember seeing a picture of it on Scuderia’s site - which now I cannot find again! Any help welcome before I take more drastic action and hack it out!! It is only foam after all….
Thank you for the quick response Johnny. It is the standard foam block that Bentley put in when there is no CD changer. I can get a photo. Just wish I could find it again on the Scuderia site!

I have never seen a foam block, usually just an empty space with a blank faceplate.
Definitely a foam block - I just took a couple of lumps out of it! (See photo). I used a trim tool to see if I could feel any clips - no dice. The foam broke rather than moving. BTW - the cables you see at the top right of the photo are to a CarPlay (gold) box which is what I want to put in the place where the CD changer should be so that it does not clutter up the glovebox and makes the cable run much neater. One way or another that foam block is coming out!!.
This may sound a bit silly at first, but a corkscrew? I've had one in my toolbox for quite some time after discovering how well it works on pulling out pliable, porous materials like foams.
It is a good thought - thank you! I suspect that the foam will just break as I already found out with a 90 degree trim removal hook. My concern is that there are clips at the sides that align with the ones that hold the CD player in when it is there. It may be that without releasing those - however I might do that - the only answer is to break it out! I did try a very sharp chisel - but to no avail... There could be an obvious answer hence asking the experts!
I finally found it again on Scuderia! - after spending ages looking for it... Search did not work. See photo. It is part Number 32 on the diagram and in the product list. You can see that it is a sub for the CD changer. It looks as though it has some sort of clip on the side but it is unclear. As it is only $50 (for a foam block!) I might buy one to see how it is fitted.
This car part is suitable for the following models: Continental Flying Spur (2013+), Continental GT (2011-2018), Continental GTC (2011+), Continental Supersports (2017+), Continental Supersports Convertible (2017+)
Have tried some flat plastic trim removal tools. No good so far or I have obviously not hit the clips. I will have another go... that has to be the answer. I cannot think of anything else holding it in....
Yep... they are the tools I saw in the workshop docs for taking out the cd changer (I think I saw two types). As I said at the beginning of the thread, I thought it might need those to get the foam block out. Thought I might get away without them but you may well be right!
