Since the magazine racing is continuing here are the figures from the magazines: R&D january 2008 ran 1/4 12.8 113.3mph, C&D jan 08, 12.7 114mph, C&D may 08, 12.8 114 MT may 2008, 12.7 113.4mph R&D june 2008, 12.6 at 113.8. The cherry on top is EVO issue 117 M3 takes on ISF Both received 5 stars Direct quote "in terms of driving enjoyment the isf is closer to the m3 than we would ever have dared predict. it's a welcome addition to the class." Keep in mind this was against m3 coupe. I guess Curio and gt3 ranger know something that all the magazines dont, how could the isf actually equal or surpass the almighty m3 in any performance area
As far as the M5 goes R&D tested feb 2006 1/4 12.4 at 115.8, while faster than isf it still doesnt rip its lungs out as gt3 ranger would say.

well. I have the E46 M3 and owned the ISF (Sold), the ISF Is fast, quiet, and a family car. its different. its in its own type of class really.

and yah... i noticed M3Forums lately has been a bit dramatic... hence why I've started to move over to here while searching for a p-car.

I am trying to find someone locally to race since you are a *****. I remember this type of talk from C32 owners when I had my E46 until I got my M3 on video walking the C32.

 

If we started listing all the M3 accolades in magazines this thread would be 100 pages. Read some of those articles sometime.

Just take a look at motortend.com to see what an M3 DCT coupe did in their best handling car test. It lapped over a second faster at Laguna Seca than the M3 Sedan did which already worked the ISF on the track and from a stop, roll, braking, handling, you name it.

By the way, the M3 finished second in the competition, behind the R8 which won.

I never said anything about "your" M5 and I never said the M3 sucks. From the beginning of this thread I have stated my dislike for rag racing. FYI I dont find the m5 an attractive car that is why I bought a cls55 instead back in 2006, but that is neither here nor there.

Dont forget you started stating that your rs4 can take the isf and that you just cant believe the isf could be faster than the m3, so do not twist the matter at hand around, next thing you know, you are going to say i think the isf is faster around the track than the gt3 rs. Keep on topic, put the snobbery aside and go test drive the isf.

iI must say I watched you videos and I will give respect where it is due, your m5 i pretty bad ***, as I stated before you have an impressive fleet of cars so you are obviously a "car guy" It would be best to agree to disagree, if you refuse to acknowledge the isf as a fast little car, it is what it is.

 

BTW houston I did not challenge the IS-F. It was h20tt that made first mention of willing to challenge the M5.
