New M5 on PCH in Malibu

I was chasing him in my CLS55. Had a nice growl, but not loud enough!

Nice find. Did the driver try to push the car just a bit or just cruising?

people on the m5 board have also seen that car running around socal..and were complaining since the posters haven't followed the car to get interior pix. i think we generally know what the exterior will look like since the f10 has been out for a while now...

He was driving the M5 a little hard. When the road opened up he goosed it - that's when I heard the engine pretty well. He was trying to get some distance from me because I was obviously trying to get a better look. I tried to give him the thumbs up, but he wouldn't make eye contact. He kept reaching or looking at the passenger seat - probably had some test equipment there. I was a little disappointed at the presence of the car. The rear tires didn't seem wide enough for my liking.

I have seen BMW testers all the time down here. The first time I saw an X6, I about crashed because I didn't know they were actually making it at the time. Imagine seeing it for the first time in person coming at you on a two lane road. I thought it was just a concept car. About a month ago, I saw the new six series convertible testing. It was black and only the BMW logo was blacked out. I also saw a silver or gold one with dealer plates driving around 5am in the morning.

It's funny that the M5 is disguised. Just saw this 550 with what looks like the sport package, which is the same look as the new M5. So this is what it looks like!
