2004 M3 cabrio for $49717 out the door?
It's a convertible model with SMG -- yes, i've decided i actually DO want SMG -- and it's literally fully loaded.
It's a 2004 model with nearly 38K miles though. However, it is the EXACT color combo I've been looking for: carbon black / black interior / aluminum trim.
Also, it's certified until 2010 / 100,000 miles.
I've only found 1 other M3 that matches my color and options preferences, and it's a 2005 model with 2X,000 miles asking $51,600 out the door, and they really aren't budging much at all.
It's Sonnen BMW in San Rafael (marin county) where I purchased my X5 back in August 2004.
Is there anything about a 2004 model that I will regret -- as opposed to a 2005 or 2006 model? Reliability over 38,000 miles? Etc?
Thoughts?
Thank you much -- if you all approve, I'll probably do it this weekend

Just to clarify, by out the door, does that include tax and license?
Also, what are the exact options. I went to Sonnen's web site and it doesn't appear that there are really that many options listed.
I'd peg this at $43k with the bumper to bumper CPO warranty extension. That would be $47-ish out the door.

Take a look on Ebay and autotrader.com I think there are some nicely optioned 2005 for about the same price. Buy while its still winter and you should get a great deal. I've seen brand new M3 Cabs with $10K off sticker in the Midwest during the winter months.
Like I say to everyone wanting to get in an E46 M3 - prepare for MAJOR depreciation. They're awesome cars, but I'd wait them out for a while.

for a higher mileage one that was daily driven, i would spend $40-41k on it prior to tax. remember options etc do not add much value and new m3 is coming out so it'll take a dive in resale. m3 cabs are also very heavy. i'd rather have a 996 cab if you are spending over $40k. Sounds nicer but just not as practical as m3 if you have a larger family.
