New M3 vs "Proceded 335"
New M3 vs "Proceded 335"
Im wondering how the New M3 will comapre to a Proceded 335i in a straight line
I know in the twisties and M3 will leave it in the dust
The new M3 is suppose to have 420hp 295tq while the Proceded 335i has about 370hp 400tw(about)
How do you think they will compare?
For all of those who dont know what procede is it is a chip made by shiv at "Vishnu tuning"

as an owner of a 330i performance package i loved it but always wanted some more grunt. so i contemplated supercharging it. cost for that was around $7-8k. then you still needed the differential and some other parts to make it as capable as the m3. in the end (by the time you added all $ up), you may as well have went out and bought an m3 since you will have a factory car with warranty.
with the 335i i think it is a bit different. the "supercharging" option now only costs $1,400 or so and is reversible. even if you were to add suspension and rear differential you would still be spending less money than on an m3. this really does change things quite a bit.

Even if its as capable it wont be an M, its a totaly different experience, now if you want a car thats as capable, and dont care about the high reving engine, different suspension, brakes, lsd etc then get a 335 an mod it. See the thing is if i could afford one (which i cant so my opinion is worthless
) i would get it, it will be the best car in its class and if a 335 beat me in the twisties or in a straight because it was modded i would not be botherd. I would want the M for the different experience, now there are people who would be hurt by the 335 beating them, but these are the people that think their car equals their dick size...

i'd be concerned with the great factory warranty that bmw offers with their cars, but if u want to blow that, don't care, i'm sure the chipped 335i will more than scare the future m3 owners out there including myself.
the new m3 or any m3 won't leave any comparably powered, no-LSD car in the dust in any sort of curvy road.internet ricers/krauters bring up the "in the twisties" factor when they can't even begin to quantify, prove it.
on the streets, it's too close to call. on the track... really, those who actually know how to drive fast on the track don't care about chips and salsa. they just drive and hone their skills.
