im saying that i love the way my m3 handles and even the way a stock m3 handles, and the e92 is supposed to handle better than a stock e46 m3 as it should...i HATE the way an s4 handles and im sure im not going to notice too much of a difference from the s4 to the rs4 as ive heard from friends who have driven it, it still handles very similar to an s4 just slightly more balanced due to what gabriel said about the engine being moved back, etc, etc, etc.

the only AWD cars i really like are porsches.

You haven't even driven one of them.

What's the point of these kind of statements?
whats the rs4 run again...12.9-13.0@108? there are a bunch of stock m3s that run 13.0@107 and a bunch that hit high 12s bone stock...

Okay, so now you're saying that BMW cars improve for every new model and Audi doesn't? Or are you saying that because your E46 handles better than an S4, both your car AND the new M (you haven't driven) must be better than the RS4, which, again, you haven't driven either.

It all boils down to you debating cars based on your assumptions with people who actually own it. I know you're young, but please, please, just come down to the rest of us and smell the irony in yourself for a moment.

my sentiments exactly. i have always said this and will say it again: audi, with their rs4, finally caught up to bmw and their e39 m5. it only took them 7 years but they caught up none-the-less....

My opinion is that the RS4 handles like day to night better than the S4 and the since the E46 didn't handle better than the E36 the E92 won't either. I really hope to be proved wrong.

in terms of just performance my car has, let me calculate it...for parts AND labor on just performance...the grand total is: about 15K

lol...i know, i know...i never said audis dont improve...i think it boils down to the fact that at heart...i love RWD or very biased Rear drive AWD systems. i know i havnt drivent he rs4 and obv havnt driven a new m3, but im trying to draw early conclusions based on cars that are similar that I HAVE in fact driven.

absolutely! as i just said in my last post...i love rwd and unless its a very rear biased AWD such at the one i had in my 911 C4...im prob not going ot like it, such as why i didnt like the awd system in the s4...does the rs4 use the same system?

i said im sure the new m3 is gonna handle great...i never said the rs4 didnt handle great, because obv it does, but its still gonna suffer from the inherent front weight bias it has and understeer which even clarkson in his review said was a big pitfall of the car.

Yup. The middle differential (torsen) in the S4 has a 2:1 ratio while in the RS4 4:1. It costed about 400 euros to replace the torsen in my A4 1.8T with about 300hp back in the day and it totally transformed the car.

With the 4:1 torsen the RS4 sends up to 90% of the torque to the rear of the car.

ok...ok...does the rs4 have a thick steering wheel like the m3 or is it thin like the s4?

I have no idea about the USA. The euro steering wheel is pretty thick and grippy. Feels very confident too.
