I have a Vishnu tuned 335i. I am very pleased with it overall. I'd be interested in hearing more of the facts, if you can access them. Can you scan and post a picture of your Uncle's work order / repair bill?

Also, do you think there is any chance the problem existed for any other reason, and that the dealer blamed it on the modification? I only ask, because dealers sometimes do this when customers bring in a modified car. It has happened to me (not on the BMW).

I'd like to note I had my Vishnu 335i on the track at Barber Motorsports park for two days in a row. The oil temps got extremely high, upwards of 275-280 degrees F, but I never had any issues. I did run 98 octane as a safety, though.

Lastly, why do you think your Uncle's car had this problem, but other 335is did not? Did he self-install? I would be curious to hear anything from a technical explanation to reasonable speculation.

You need to read the thread it was installed by a proffessional. I can not give you scans of work orders that would be meaningless anyway last time I post a warning no one heeds them anyway.

I would like to think that if anyone posted a claim that Randomvendor_01's product caused a specific failure that there would be a general call for details before the claim was supported as universal Truth. This is the internet after all and people's motivations are as varied as their opinions, and dealership techs aren't exactly bastions of objectivity when it comes to OEM vs aftermarket. However, facts are facts

Weight by post count is only going to hold water on the local message board with the people who have developed relationships with the poster in question. Details are going to provide a measure of weight regarless of the reader's relationship with the OP. A given message board is not the ultimate authority for the population at large.

I'm from e90, I had to register and give you my thoughts on this situation as it's getting pretty ugly.

As for Marc, he may be a very respectful poster who has been a moderator in ht past but when he does something like this it has to be questioned by not only those who use this product but also by others who see issues with it.

Your title " *** WARNING *** Do Not Use Vishnu's Ecu Pggyback for the 335

You've come to a public forum and said this with absolutly NO proof what so ever. Those of use who use this product (such as me) have never heard of anything like it and would absolutly LOVE to get more information about it.

A statement like this could hurt a company and before anyone goes out to post something like this they better have something to back your statement up not only for those who wish to find out more information about but also for Shiv if he ever wanted to sue you for damaging his company by spreading lies.

If I was in Shiv's place I would love to make an example out of this situation.

He's asked for PM's from you publicly here. If you decide to call him again, I know that I'd be grateful if you would document your experience on each contact. I realize that this is a lot of work for you and would understand if you chose not to, but it would be helpful and appreciated.

I have the Procede from Vishnu on my 335, It runs great, car has no issues and all my temps including EGT and such are perfect. I think you had a bad installation in your uncles car, even an over zealous mechanic will make mistakes if he didnt follow the directions right or left loose connections..

I have been on 6speed for a long time and have also had an M3 and and Evo and was a memeber of Evolutionm. I know about all the bull**** we hear running around..

Im still very confident with the Procede, the customer service has been excellent, there are other tuners such as Active Autowerke, Turbo Tuner, RD Black Box etc which all base their software off the original Xede. They all put out power just fine.. The current Procede is very similar and started off as an Xede now its just more in depth tuned..

I think you have the right Marc to inform others of your uncles situation, but I agree with others as you lack a lot of facts and just go by what the stealership and your uncle told you.. Im very confident in Shivs product, and i think this rare case and should not be reasons for such a Big and Dramatic warning.. IF it was an issue im Sure we would have heard about it elsewhere, and up to this point the current software has been tested a million times over even on the 12hr Bathurst race car.. But thanks anyway for the heads up, although i really think it was not necessary as you claim directs towards basically that If you get a Procede your call will probably blow up, thats shallow..

Cheers

Another claim which I find hard to believe. Just PM me his name and I'll get to the bottom of this myself.

I'd like to see some proof also,This seems like your trying to dog the company and to make things worse you live right near one of his biggest competitors.Show the pms you sent to him,Shiv has stated on e90 forums that you havnt given him any info and has asked you whos car it was.

Why don't you post your uncles name right here in the thread so Shiv can conferm he bought one,That would make you way more credible than your 4k post count.

Why are you speaking for your uncle? My sisters cousnins brother bought a procede and it melted its cats,I have no proof,no pics,no names, just a awesome shop that knows alot....Oh yea, they got BMW to cover a 16k bill when they new he had a procede installed too,lol ok.

I call BS on the whole thing.

Not sure what you're talking about. Have you mixed me up with someone else?
