First 900 miles with my Spyder (pics!)

6 Speed,

So I just crossed over the 900 mile mark on the Spyder and i thought i would share some thoughts and pictures.

WOW - what a car! By far the most fun i have had driving in my life. The combination of top down, lightweight, and Porsches newest technology really make this car an absolute blast to drive. Never have i felt so connected to the road than in this car. The power level is perfect for the chasis and for my driving. Punch it and the thing MOVES. Coming out of a corner - nail the throttle - and you are rewarded with an awesome exit. The overall sensation is very similar to a Cayman S, but the fact that you are open air really does elevate the experience.

Best feeling in this car - top down, about 68-70 degrees outside - music pumping - heated seat on - and ripping along in 3rd gear down a back road. Perfection!!!

If i had to say what i dont like? --- not much, but i do wish the car was a TINY bit larger inside (i am 6'3") and i wish the stock exhaust (non sport) was a tad louder. But soon that will be fixed

OK, enough babbling --- here are some fresh pictures from a nice drive i took tonight.....

Thanks for looking

Ditto to everything you said!

I hear you on the exhaust (Stock is not that bad, but I would like it a tad louder myself too)
I'm leaning towards PSE- I can install the muffler part myself no problem (I have a lift in my garage) but the electrical is what I am wondering about. Do you know how hard running the wire for the switch would be? Does the car need to be hooked up to the Porsche computer?

Oh, I absolutely love your car!!! Those wheels are the perfect design compliment to the Spyder. I'm so glad they carried the design from the 911. What size are they? They look like 19".

Nice. I got to get more pics up online of mine. I am interested to hear what exhaust you go with.

Love the car! I installed the FabSpeed full exhaust, and I love it. You really can't go wrong with any of the exhausts that are listed above (I considered the same) and ultimately settled on the Fabspeed system. The videos that were posted online did not give this system enough credit. You can feel the extra bit of power, and it sounds amazing. Just my opinion, obviously it depends what you are looking for. Certainly turns heads as you are getting onto the expressway
