Searching Dealerships Used Inventory
Searching Dealerships Used Inventory
Just wondering.......can a dealership search the Used Inventory for all the other Porsche dealerships in the states? If i could find a 2009 or newer used one that i like, that might be a consideration.

Just search and negotiate w/ selling dealer directly. If dealer is far away don't be surprised if you have to make sure they more than understand your interest level. One suggestion would be to find cars and then go to the dealer's Porsche site directly. Find name/contact # of sales manager or general mgr under the 'About Us' -> 'The Porsche Team'. Don't call dealer blindly asking to speak w/ a sales consultant. Then either the mgr will handle you directly or hand pick a consultant to handle with you. If handed off, a good mgr will 'ride' the consultant until deal is done. If he doesn't, then that wasn't the car for you. Don't sweat it as there are PLENTY of '09+ vehicles out there and available.
Additionally, with Porsches, you'll find dealers typically aren't into inventory swaps on new cars. Even less so on used where they [can] make considerably more $ per unit.

I wouldn't say there are "plenty". There's only 27 '09+, 11 of which are S's, only 3 S with PDK. I don't think the Porsche website is always up to date though, you may have to use the dealer search feature, look on each dealer's website for more up to date inventory. Luckily there aren't too many Porsche dealers, you can go through all of them in a few hours if you want.

That being said, yes the PCNA site is not 100% up to date so it's good to combine w/ autotrader or cars.com searches. Which incidentally is funny some times to see the different "offering" prices b/w the PCNA site and others on same vehicle.
Well... seeing as OP didn't specify a particular Porsche they are looking for in this thread, my top line search of 2009+ used Porsches shows 640 available. I would say that qualifies as "plenty"
