2020 Cayman T
Mkay.

I bought an older, no mile '13 981...because I felt it was more of a "drivers car" than the newer 718.
Opinions are like...
Sounds like a very nice car.
I really wasn't aware of the Cayman T until I visited my local Porsche dealer and began discussing my options for purchasing something new next year. Since the T is not available in the US in 2019, I was thinking another base Cayman but the more I read about the T the more convinced I became that it was the car for me. When I purchased my 2018 Cayman I was somewhat concerned about the 4 cylinder Turbo vs the flat 6 but when I drove the 4 cylinder base model it has more low end torque than my 2016 Boxster S. When I looked at the cost differential between the base and the S model along with the performance differences it became clear to me that the little difference in performance was not worth the significant difference in price so I went with the base.

Well, good on ya'. I personally wait for crazy low-mile, older cars where someone else takes the big depreciation hit.
Can't deny the 718 is likely an overall better car on paper and the data recorder but it's also clear that making a choice either way is still a good one...albeit there are some trade-offs by going to either platform.
My "wife's" 2013 981 Boxster S is a sweet find...given it has only 4k miles...and I paid $35k less than sticker. That makes the trade-offs (vs the 718) easy to live with!
Looking forward to seeing/hearing about your 2020. Sounds like a nice 2018 CS will be for sale soon.
Thanks. I feel the same way but my wife is still pushing for Miami Blue. In the end I think I'll get my way because she hates to see me unhappy. How lucky am I.
