Z-06,Viper and Cayman

Last night I came across the Speed channel just in time to hear MOTOR WEEK proudly announce a race between those three .
W.T.F.....

I did not stick around to watch this monumental event, but I am pretty sure someone on the 'vette forum will be bragging that they were finally able to beat a Porsche .

Personally, I'm not quite certain how to take this , but I have decided it's a compliment for the Cayman to be even considered alongside this HP overkill .

I just wonder who makes this kind of idiotic decision at Motor Week .
Just in case they are reading this, and happen to be fresh out of new ideas,
next time how about matching up a Ferrari with a Miata and a VW Gulf ?

The segment on motorweek was actually very good and compared the cars in terms of what you get out of each. As was mentioned, the prices are actually very similar. It was not a race but a true comparison on the driving styles each one caters to.

The Cayman is under $60 k, the Z-06 is well over $70
and the Viper is $ 85-90 .
Considering the price differences and especially a few HUNDRED HP in engine output , I fail to see any basis to compare the Cayman with either .

Once again...it was a discussion of the different driving styles each has to offer. Not once were they compared to each other. This wasn't a price, HP, Torque, etc comparison. Find the clip and you'll see what I'm talking about.

He was too narrow minded to watch it the first time, I doubt he'll look for the clip.
