Auto Transport - Avoid Vip

This is a warning to any and all members looking to find automotive transport. I heavily suggest avoiding a company called VIP or Advanced Logistics or Lgistics. The person I dealt with was Barry Pollack and these New York accent characters are absolute crooks. Thanks GOD I did not actually use them to move my car as they are trying to get the car now and I fear if they do they will be stealing it.

I'm not sure who to call about this issue as these guys seem to be true criminals and were trying to call the owner in the middle of the night to get an address when the address was already provided to the company. There is something wrong with this whole thing and I'm not sure which law enforcment activity to contact.

There info is as follows:
Advance Logisitcs
471 North Broadway #220
Jericho, NY 11753
Barry Pollack

That sucks! I hope that you get any issues resolved and that it was a break down in communication on their part for the need to get an address.

Let us know so we can warn others. InterCity is a great service as well.

We also over heard him saying that make sure you deliver on a cloudy day the rear rip is cracked on the insed WTF?! from my understanding they took it for a joy ride in the middle of the country.. they even drove it on rock gravil lol

The car was going to one of the wrestling owners either wwf or whateve rthe other one is.... in florida...

Just an update:

I filed a BBB complaint and found they were judged "unsatisfactory" by them from previous dealings.
I filed a complaint with the FBI for insterstate commerce voilations
I filed a review on www.transportreviews.com letting everyone know what kind of crooks these guys are http://www.transportreviews.com/comp...-logistics.asp
Filed fraud complaint with credit card issuer for unauthorized charges

Perhaps this will get their attention!! Anything else I can do to make their life a living hell is my intent so pass along any other good ideas to help others looking for auto transport to avoide these scum bags.

I have dealt with 2 shipping companies and if the only issue is the late night call, I have had that happen as well. They called me to verify the address and get instructions directly from me in addition to using Mapquest. They need to make sure they can access the roads, turn around, park or whatever so it kind of seems like a necessary evil. When Carlsen delivered my Lexus to me (I drove up in the Lexus and drove home in the Turbo) the guy delivered it at Midnight on a weeknight.

After being pestered by them after submitting a generic "get a quote on line from one source and several quotes came" site I decided to answer the dozen or so emails from Advanced (aka VIP) and talked with Barry who seemed to set my senses off as a "we'll take care of it" promises kind of guy although my senses told me different. I did allow him to talk me into investigating the times by checking on driver availability and even provided my credit card for the $200 deposit CONTINGENT on the fact that he said I would NOT be charged until I reviewed a contract he would send over and assigned a driver. To date I have not received either but have been charged. The same day I contacted him I used this site to find a better resource that was more dependable and sent an email to Barry Pollack (and copied myself for records) to cancel any action or effort he was pursuing for me and cancel the entire effort. I of course never heard back from them until today when I received a call telling me the driver was at the dealership to pick-up the car but no one knew anything about it... The car was actually not at that location thankfully but they tried to find out where it was to, in my opinion, steal it. Thankfully the people on the sending side were keen to scam artists and would not give them the address as this should have been something that I arranged and any legitimate company would know if they were in fact legitimate. Thankfully we avoided having these crooks getting my vehicle or I feel I would have never seen it again! I recommend that you RUN, don' t walk, away from these clowns.

Forgot to mention, I also received a RUDE phone call from another person with them telling me all sorts of nasty things as to why "I have to ship with them". I told them there was no chance of that and that I was contacting my credit card issuer to submit a fraudulent charge complaint against them. I am also contacting the appropriate law enforcement agency and the BBB about them. AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID

I have been very pleased with both Passport (FedEx) and Intercity. Very trustworthy drivers and their rigs (esp. Intercity) are usually packed with some really unique and interesting toys.
