Question winter wheel help

Have decided on sticking to 19" like I currently have and that limits me to Pirelli Scorpion ice and snow, but I need help on a wheel. Tire Rack has one, but are there any other suggestions out there that are 19" and Cayenne load rated?

James,

Get the OEM 19s. You can probably find a take off set from a dealer. They look like the 20" sport designs.

Thanks, ESK, those are the wheels I have for the summer tires. I was considering a whole wheel tire package and was thinking about a different look.

James,

Make the 19s your winter package and upgrade your summer package to 20s or 22s.

That is EXACTLY what I'm going to do. You can help me decide on 20's for the spring as a tire wheel package. I just ordered the Pirellis from tire rack without the wheels. Thanks. What do you think about the HRE 640 R with charcoal center? You can see it on sponsor wheelexperts website.

Deetz, I'm nervous about not enough rubber with NC roads and the occasional mild off roading. I'm set on 20's for the summer.

I visit North Carolina pretty often and I think the road is 1000x better than Boston you may want to give it a try since I survive in Boston

Do you stay on the interstate in NC or do you go on the mountain roads? I am in the western foothills and not all of our roads are paved. I went to grad school in New Haven and used to frequent Boston and Newport a lot. I think you are taking a risk with 22" on that car. One good pothole (crater) and you need a new rim. I know you know what I'm talking about (I-95).

James,

I love Charcoal centers (I just bought shadow chrome for my RR), but I think you may lose the "mesh" effect of the 640s. I think the 647s would look better (IMO).

I love the 640R. It looks like the Gemballa ones but they have the HHRE emblems and they mean alot to me...

Jeffs, I love the turbo front bumper, send us pictures of the S when it is done.

Esk, You may be right about the losing the mesh effect, but I saw some on a seal gray TT and it looked awesome.

I will post it as soon as I get my kit done. Kit should arrive at anytime and then in 2-3 weeks time everything should be all set...

Jeff: how are you going to get it done if you are not even allowed to drive the car?
