Great thread. Being a new CTT owner there were a few tips and tricks in here that I didn't know about yet and hadn't seen in the manual yet. I am going to the Homelink site tonight as I haven't been able to get my opener to work by readinig the instructions in the manual.

Also not sure if I saw this mentioned or not but you can turn off the interior sonar by pushing the lock button on the door handle twice quickly. The red LED on the door should blink fast. I found this out after having the alarm go off continually after leaving my dogs in the car. I haven't noticed the button on the B pillar. Will take a look tonight!

I can't believe Porsche didn't put a hidden launch control in these or if it's there nobody has found it yet?!?

Fun getting to know this beast and all that it'll do!!

Automatically Lowers AGAIN

Sure, you think you know about this one but it is NOT in the manual.

We all know at 74 mph the car with air suspension automatically goes to the lower setting and it is selectable, AND at about 144 or 145 mph she drops again and hugs the road. This is NOT in the manual and is NOT selectable.

Don't ask.

When I asked the service manager at EVOMS to confirm this he had to think a while, then looked at me somewhat stunned.

This is not in the owner's manual, however it is in the service & repair training manual. It states that Special Low Level is reached above approximately 130 mph (210 km/h), and is raised back up to Low Level below approximately 106 mph (170km/h).

Can the 74 mph automatic lowering be disabled?

The closest I've found is this site:

It's pretty annoying to use, but at least the information is correct. If anyone knows of something better for 2008-up, please speak up!

The one with the ignition key is kinda fun. I had no idea you could just turn it and let go. As for the button to turn off the interior sonar, no such thing on my '05.

I turn off the interior sonar in the settings. Go to comfort, I think, then alarm and unclick the box. Mine is an 05 CTT.

I'll have to look that one up. You are supposed to be able to turn it off by pushing the remote lock or the handle lock twice quickly. It doesn't seem to always work though. It's only an issue when I have my dogs with me but I hate walking away from the car and then hearing the horn start beeping.

To bypass the annoying "CONFIRM" button when starting Nav, press the NAV button on your PCM to goto Nav, then press it again after about 0.5 seconds. You'll go straight to the nav screen :-)

Does doing this keep the "confirm" from popping up again on future starts?
If not, then isn't it the same number of button presses to get to where you want to be...one is a hard button & the other is a soft button.

It doesn't stop confirm from showing on future starts. What it does though is make it easier when you do it by feel, I like to have the map on the screen when I'm driving. Rather than start the car, look over and press the nav button, then look and press the confirm button, it's a quick tap tap on the nav button.

If I could get rid of "confirm" I would! ... but that double tap shortcut isn't mentioned in the manual.
