"so long as it is black"

We were sitting in our car at the Stamford CT train station, waiting for our daughter to arrive on the 5:18 pm Amtrak train, which was delayed over one hour. During the hour wait, while wilting in our car in the heat, we saw five different Cayennes pick up or discharge passengers. The odd thing was, they were all the same color Cayennes, all black.

Ford wrote in his autobiography, "Any customer can have a car painted any colour that he wants so long as it is black"

I have always been black car guy. All of them, forever have been black. When I decided to buy a Cayenne I opened the options to Titainium. Its nice to have a different color now.

My last 3 cars have been black: 540i, Z8 and X5 4.8iS. Going to be daring, though, with the CTT and order it in Auburn. (most likely sight unseen as the dealer doesn't have a color chip yet)

90% of all the cars I have owned have been black and currently everything is except my Ferrari and an old Suburban I keep for hauling crap.

They are a pain to keep clean and maintain but look so good!

I have two black cars.......a 996 and a Z3 Coupe. I love black but they are just so hard to maintain. In where I live, Cayennes are rare and most of them are either black or silver/gray. Therefore, I decided not to get a black CTT, so I got a white one which I eventually read here is quite an uncommon color for a Cayenne. My wife loves white and it is hers anyway.

Started with auburn, then jet green, but final choice for my CTT is jet black w/ espresso/cognac interior. I live in rural New Hampshire, so definitely will not see myself coming and going.
