^ what do you need back pressure for? you want to lose more horsepower? the only reason to add some glass pack mufflers would be to reduce the noise. It would work, and it would probably sound great, but its not going to change performance.

Glass packs are normally straight through design IIRC. I would throw a flow master on it that's baffled to increase back pressure, but kinda negates your exhaust system now.

its probably just your imagination. you're expecting more performance relative to the sound. the only thing i could think of is that the magnaflow mufflers were welded on poorly?

Is your Cayenne naturally aspirated? if so, then it's pretty common to lose a little down low end torque feeling when increasing exhaust flow to increase mid-range and high end power. And maybe not lose it, but shift it out in the power curve (higher rpms).

sorry 03evoIII can you explain more.. what im saying is i have an ml500 06 i did the same thing i deleted the resonator and installed magnaflow mufflers,.. the car lost power.. so i put back the res. and it drove way better,.. but i thought that porsches work better with straight through exhuast.. but i guess its the same thing.
ques. techart mufflers or what ever muffler they use for the cyennes are they stright through mufflers??

yea, I think any of us who has ever put a "high flow" exhaust, or long tube headers, etc, on a torquey engine might have felt a loss of torque lower in the rpms. I know have and it's pretty common. Torque IMO on these cars will make the overall drive-ability better and i think that's your talking about.

I would think that straight through designed mufflers/exhaust on a N/A Cayenne would not be the best for overall drive-ability and performance, maybe just sound.

As for Turbo'd engines...free flow all the way

You don't need the glass packs unless your trying to change the tone of the exhaust.
