You can have it vinyl wrapped so you would have the option of taking it off if you ever got tired of the black.

...agreed. And if you're so inclined you could probably do it yourself quite inexpensively...

+1 on the vinyl wrap. While it is certainly possible to do it at home...I ordered the wrap and tried it myself. I then took it to a local shop that did a professional job. It is not difficult just very tedious and you will soon find it is a skill and I obviously do not have the skills.

I would like to do this too...On the outside silver trim as well. I was thinking a tint/clear bra shop could possibly do it. Could be $$ though.

There are apparently three different ways to accomplish this.

1.) Powder-coat
2.) Purchase new OEM moldings/trim and install
3.) Vinyl wrap

All vary in price obviously with new moldings being the most expensive option, ~$1300 (quoted by the dealer.)

Can't wait to get this done, don't know which one I'll go with yet but I think this mod will transform the whole look.

I was wondering what it would cost to powder coat! And I was wondering if the trim would look better color matched or just flat black. I think the lower silver trim covered in flat black vinyl might look a little out of place, but not sure. Any body have a Titanium Cayenne with this done!? IF so post a picture please.

I would go for vinyl even if it was the same price as powder coating... it firstly, has a better and more even finish than paint, and if you decide to go back to aluminium look, you just tear it off, not to mention that it is also the cheapest and easiest was of doing it.

I'm getting this done in the next month or so, But I had my whole cayenne wrapped in 3M Matte Black and 3M 3D Carbon Fibre Effect vinyl about 1.5 years ago, Holding up well! no tears or imperfections (with the exception of one scratch at the frond due to a fender bender, which lead to water coming in, and small bubbles have appeared. But I'm getting it re-done, along with the silver trim)
