Which rotors and pads should I get?

My warning light will be coming on soon because My front brakes will need to be changed.
OEM, Zimmerman, EBC, or a different brand for rotors? Drilled, slotted?
OEM, Pagid, Hawk HPS, Hawk ceramic, or different brand pads?
Naturally I would like less dust, but most importantly I want better braking.
What have you tried and liked and feel comfortable recommending?

I use EBC Reds Ceramic on the CTTS & Hawk Performance Ceramic on the CS - Way Less Brake dust. Pads & rotors last much longer than OEM, but if you track, then not as good of a performance option as OEM. On the street though you will not feel any difference in performance (at least I didn't).

I think a search will yield information that is also applicable.

I just put on the EBC'S. Huge difference in brake dust. Haven't noticed much on the performance end. I just do light street driving.

I went with powerstop to try them out. The rotors are actually ebc (stamped), the pads have been great so far, no complaints yet. For 350 or so for all four corners, it was worth a try and ive been happy.

As mrbrianc stated, performance wise, OEM will be your best option as far as pads go. Usually with "less dust" pads, the initial coefficient of friction is lower and personally, on the street, I would want as much initial braking performance since you never know when you need to all of a sudden slam on the brakes. However, if less dust is a major priority, than I'm sure what the others have been using are great. BTW, Pagid is the OEM supplier if I am not mistaken.

As far as rotors, anything cheap should suffice as long as they can with stand the heat as well as OEM. For more performance oriented rotors, I would suggest slotted as they keep the surface contact between the pads and the rotors clean, as a result the initial bite is kept to a maximum. Never been a fan of cross drilled due to cracking, but that's only if you are seriously running hard or tracking the vehicle. Cross drilled are purely cosmetic. If you want to get fancy, 2-pc rotors save weight, and less weight equates to more power.

Like Renaissance.Man said, the search button is your best friend.
