Seems like everyone has a similar mindset to me. Kinda cool but not really tasteful enough for the car.

 

It's actually kinda cool however not sure it works for the car...Range Rover has something similar.

 

I would almost prefer it if there was no color to it. But, I agree - somewhat tasteful, but still quite ******y. It's what I like about this generation of Porshe's - there is nothing on the body that actually says "Porsche." Unless you saw the hood emblem and knew what the emblem was (and if you did then you'd probably already recognize a cayenne as a porsche), or read it on the brakes, you'd never know what a Cayenne actually was. To me, this is quintessentially Porsche; understated but powerful. Subsequently, it's what I hate about the new Porsche's with all sorts of badging on hatch. I hate that the 991 says "PORSCHE 911 CARRERA 4S" on it's rear. I liked it more when they just said Carrera 4S. The shape is immediately recognizable as a Porsche all on it's own.

 

I have these on my Cayenne, and I got them because I didn't want to pay $500 for the lighted door sills. I agree they are kind of cool and also kind of blingy. A few notes, they are not as bright as the picture and the shields point in the same direction regardless of what door, so one side will be backward/upside down from the other (both sides will have the same orientation).
