Custom ECU tune

Has anyone here had their ecu tuned specifically for the setup of their car? I should hopefully be heading to the dyno in a couple months and want my ecu tuned specifically to my car to get the most out of it. I will have an intake, cat back exhaust, including bypass pipes, to magnaflow mufflers. All of the ecu tunes out there are universal so I figured I can get more power if its tuned to accommodate the mods to the car.

Good question. I'm looking for a tune as well. Going to give VRTune a try probably. I'll post up my thoughts. I'm not going to do anything but the flash so I can see what gains can be realized with just a tune.

All the tunes whether custom, chipped, or flashed on a CTT are going to get you about 520 hp on 93 octane without meth injection. The limiting factor is the turbos. Not that they cannot produce more boost, just that they are way out their efficiency range. That in turn produces a LOT of heat in the intake. This is why meth injection and intercooler upgrades are the most effective with a tune.

I've got an 06 TTS with custom Stage 2 hybrid turbos from Scroll products with 63mm compressor wheels, 550cc injectors, EVOMS intake + ram air, EVOMS DVs, custom 3" exhaust w/o primary cats, custom metal IC piping and custom metal plenum and CO2 IC spray (not yet finished) with a fully custom tune done by a local guy. due to wastegate issues and a boost leak somewhere, I'm currently only at 600hp and 880nm (650lbft).

So all of your mods only bumped you up 80hp, That doesn't seem right

Also he stated he has a boost leak. Depending on how bad it is that could easily explain the (relatively) low power level.

that's crank hp right now. it was up to 680hp, but then one of the o-rings probably went and we had dial it back to 600hp. Initially we thought it was WG issue, but those tested out fine.
I needed the car already (that was back in December...) and never had a chance to sort out the boost leak issue. I will do it this summer. Hoping for around 750hp.
